Definition

The percentage of website visitors who complete a desired action (purchase, signup, etc.).

How to Calculate CVR

(Conversions ÷ Visitors) × 100

Example

Scenario: 100 people visit your site and 3 make a purchase

Calculation: (3 ÷ 100) × 100 = 3.0% conversion rate

What's a Good CVR?

2-4% for ecommerce, 1-3% for lead generation

Common Mistakes

  • Not optimizing landing page experience
  • Sending traffic to homepage instead of dedicated landing pages
